Moscow: Russia`s Aliya Mustafina won women`s all-around gold at the 5th European championships here.
Prior to the triumph, her fellow teammate David Belyavskiy topped the men`s all-around competition. This is the second time Mustafina has won a European championship.
"I`m pleased, just pleased," Mustafina told reporters. "I`m satisfied because winning the European championships is not so easy."
The 18-year-old gymnast, who won the gold medal on the uneven bars at London 2012 Summer Olympics, scored 59.032 points, beating 16-year-old Romanian gymnast Larisa Iordache by 0.60 points.
One of Mustafina`s teammates in the Olympic silver-winning Russia team, Anastasia Grishina, claimed bronze, scoring 0.50 points fewer than Iordache.
The championships run through Sunday.
