Senior drug tester says Jamaican doping scandals `tip of iceberg`
Auckland: Jamaica`s most senior drug tester has claimed that the recent rash of failed tests point to a more serious problem, further deepening the doping crisis in the country`s athletics.

According to a report, Paul Wright said that the Caribbean island`s anti-doping regime has been woefully short of the international standards required.

He fears if athletes are failing tests in competition, the real picture might be much worse in training where a lack of scrutiny could make it easier to dope, the report said.

He said that he believes the positive results in competitions represent the possible tip of an iceberg.

Asafa Powell, the former 100 metres world record holder is the biggest name to test positive, the report said.
