Shanghai: Rebecca Soni of the United States won the women`s 100 metres breaststroke title at the world swimming championships.
Soni clocked one minute, 05.05 seconds to win gold, with Australia`s 100m breaststroke Olympic champion Leisel Jones taking silver in 1:06.25. China`s Ji Liping won bronze in 1:06.52.
