New Delhi: World No.4 Sony Dwi Kuncoro of Indonesia has withdrawn from India Open Super Series badminton men`s event beginning here on Tuesday and two top 20 players from the women`s singles event.
China`s World No. 13 Jiang Yanjiao and 15th ranked Fanetri Lindaweni of Indonesia have pulled out from the women`s draw. India`s Saina Nehwal is the top seed.
Kuncoro was the second highest-ranked player in the men`s lineup after World No. 1 Lee Chong Wei. Parupalli Kashyap will spearhead India`s challenge.
