New Delhi: After Maria Sharapova stated that she doesn`t know who Sachin Tendulkar was post her Wimbledon match against Angelique Kerber, angry cricket fans took to Twitter, and started a new trend called "Who is Maria Sharapova".
The trend caught up all over the world, with fans blasting and cracking jokes on the 27-year-old Russian tennis star as they referred to Tendulkar, 41, who in fact was amongst the audience during the game, as the `god of cricket.`
Tendulkar even beats Sharapova in the number of 4.39 million followers he has on Twitter in comparison to the beauty`s mere 1.11million.
