CWG corruption: OC faces about Rs 350 cr legal cases
Nearly three years after the conclusion of Commonwealth Games here, the scam-hit Organising Committee is contesting two dozen legal cases involving a revenue of about Rs 350 crore against private companies which executed projects related to the mega-sporting event.
CWG case: Summons against 3 Swiss Timing officials sent to MHA
CBI has forwarded to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) the summons to be served abroad to three officials of Switzerland-based Swiss Timing Limited, for their alleged role in a 2010 Commonwealth Games related corruption case in which Suresh Kalmadi among others is facing trial.
CWG case: Trial against Kalmadi, 9 others commences in court
Trial in a Commonwealth Games related case, involving Suresh Kalmadi and nine others for allegedly causing a loss of over Rs 90 crore to the exchequer, commenced today before a Delhi court which recorded evidence of a woman officer associated with the 2010 sporting event.
Accused paid Rs 71.73L for Shilpa Shetty at Kalmadi`s behest
A Delhi court dealing with a CWG related corruption case on Monday said two of the accused had paid Rs 71.73 lakh for cinestar Shilpa Shetty`s performance in the closing ceremony of 2008 CWG Youth Games at Pune "merely to fulfil the last moment wish" of Suresh Kalmadi.
