Australian Open 2013: Andy Murray drags through to last 16
|
Zeenews Sports BureauMelbourne: A slightly frustrated Andy Murray emerged victorious in his third round encounter with Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis with a 6-3 6-4 7-5 score-line. The straight sets figures fail to betray the difficulties the Brit faced in dispatching off his on-and-off practice partner. The third-seed often cut a sullen figure as Berankis used a wide range of strokes to prevent Murray from settling into his stride. But the Olympic Champion held his own when it mattered and will now face either Gilles Simon or Gael Monfils in the Round of 16.
