Australian Open 2013: Victoria Azarenka in semi-finals
|
Zeenews Sports Bureau Melbourne: Victoria Azarenka sealed her place in the semis of the Australian Open with a straight set win over Svetlana Kuznetsova on Wednesday. The top-seeded Belarusian won 7-5, 6-1 after fighting hard to win the first set and then making a short work of her Russian opponent to claim the next and the match. "She played really well throughout the whole match. At the beginning, it took adjustment because she plays such a different game,” she was quoted as saying by a news agency after the match. The 23-year-old is looking to defend her crown that she won defeating Maria Sharapova in straight sets in 2012.
