Melbourne: Swiss ace Roger Federer and Polish star Agnieszka Radwanska have progressed to the fourth round of the Australian Open tournament and made the final 16 on Saturday at Melbourne.
The 17-time Major champion has advanced to the fourth round at the tournament for the 13th consecutive year following a 6-2, 6-2, 6-3 win over Russian Teymuraz Gabashvili at Rod Laver Arena.
The only other time Federer and Gabashvili have played - in the first round at Wimbledon in 2007, when the Russian also lost in straight sets - Federer went on to win the title.
Meanwhile, reports said that Radwanska beat Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 to book a fourth round berth.
