Zee Media BureauNew Delhi: World No. 1 Novak Djokovic will enter the 2014 Cincinnati also known as the Western & Southern Open hoping to achieve the Career Golden Masters.
If the 27-year-old manages to win the men`s singles title in Cincinnati, he will become the first player in history to win all nine ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles.
The Serbian has already won the Indian Wells, Miami and Rome Masters titles this season. He is the defending champion of Shanghai and Paris Masters. Besides, he won the Monte Carlo in 2013, Madrid in 2011 and Canada in 2007, 2011 and 2012.
A four-time runner-up in Cincinnati, Djokovic will look to win this elusive crown when he open his campaign against either Gilles Simon or a qualifier in the second round.
Previously known as the Super 9, ATP World Tour Masters was started in 1990 by bringing together the nine most prestigious tournaments of the tour.
