New York: India’s Sania Mirza bowed out of the US Open quarterfinals mixed doubles event after losing to Kveta Peschke of Czech Republic and Poland’s Marcin Matkowski.
Sania, along with her British partner Colin Fleming, went down 3-6, 5-7 in straight sets which lasted 69 minutes.
Meanwhile, Indo-Russian pair Leander Paes and Elena Vesnina lost to Czech duo of Lucie Hradecka and Frantisek Cermak 6-7 (2), 5-7 in another mixed doubles quarters.
