Murray reckons Olympic gold for Britain with brother better than winning Wimbledon London: Tennis star Andy Murray believes earning Olympic gold for Britain with his brother Jamie Murray would be better than winning Wimbledon.

The world No.4 will play the singles and doubles at the London Games, just three weeks after his home Grand Slam.

Murray, 25, who starts his latest bid to win Wimbledon on Monday, admitted crying with happiness when his older brother Jamie won his first ATP title and the mixed doubles in SW19 with Jelena Jankovic in 2007.

However, the British No. 1 said the emotion of triumphing together on home turf would be the highlight of his career.

“It could not get any better than winning my home Olympics with Jamie,” Murray said, who was yesterday confirmed as the first player in Team GB’s tennis squad for London 2012.

“It’s so far away but I know what it was like watching Jamie winning Wimbledon mixed here when I wasn’t even playing, and that was fairly emotional for me so I can’t imagine what it would be like winning an Olympic medal,” he added.

The Murray brothers have won two ATP titles, in Valencia in 2010 and Tokyo last year, in the rare tournaments they play together.
