London: Kevin Anderson warmed up for his Wimbledon clash Monday against reigning champion Andy Murray with a South African barbecue and some tunes on the guitar.
Anderson, on a career-high ranking of 18, posted a picture of himself on Twitter enjoying a taste of home.
"A proper South African braai to kick off the weekend right!," he said in the accompanying caption.
The 28-year-old, born in Johannesburg, should feel right at home in Wimbledon. The southwest London suburb is one of the heartlands for South African ex-pats in the city.
The big-serving right-hander, who stands 2.03 metres (six feet, eight inches) tall, has also been relaxing before his Centre Court clash by learning to play the guitar.
"That`s something I enjoy doing. My mum keeps asking me to play her some tunes, but right now I`m just learning all the different notes," he told the Wimbledon website.
"I`ve got a travel electric guitar which I take on the road with me. My acoustic guitar is a bit too big so that`s at home."
Anderson is looking to become the first South African to reach the quarter-finals since Wayne Ferreira in 1994.
Ferreira was the last South African to reach the Wimbledon fourth round in 2000.
