Activist Irom Sharmila Chanu, who was Monday charged with attempting suicide for her fast unto death here in 2006 while demanding repeal of controversial AFSPA, said she is following Mahatma Gandhi`s principle of non-violence.

Civil rights activist Irom Sharmila Chanu completed 10 years of her fast-unto-death on Tuesday, demanding withdrawal of the controversial Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), 1958, from Manipur.
