30-year-old woman gang-raped by two policemen

Muzaffarnagar: Two police personnel allegedly gang-raped a 30-year-old woman at gunpoint at Gageru village of Shamli district, an official said on Wednesday.

A case of gang-rape and loot has been registered against constables Deepak Rathi and Vikas Choudhry after they allegedly entered the victim's house yesterday and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, CP Singh.

The duo also looted cash and ornaments from the victim's house, he said, adding that the accused also threatened to kill her if she spoke of the incident to anybody.

The woman has been sent for a medical examination, he said.

Meanwhile, villagers staged a dharna demanding strict action against the constable duo who, according to Singh, have been sent to Police Lines.

It is shameful not only on the Up police but also on the entire government. I know the government will not take any meaning full action against deepak rathi and vikas chaudhary.they will prove that they belong to the families that support the ruling party. You are free to commit any offence ,the only condition is that you must belong to the caste/religion which support the ruling party. at the state.Honesty , dignity, dedication, commitment to the duty has no meaning ,instead the commitment to the ruling class gives you the right to do anything-lawful or unlawful.
