Faridabad: Two motorcycle-borne assailants allegedly threw red chilli powder in the eyes of a woman and snatched her bag containing over Rs 1.4 lakh when she was going to deposit the money in a bank, police said on Friday.
According to complaint lodged by the woman's brother, Vimal Kumar, he had yesterday given her the money to deposit in a bank, when the assailants attacked her and took away the money, police said.
When she tried to call for help, they threatened her of dire consequences, they said, adding that a case was registered in this connection and the matter was being probed.
