In post-liberalisation era, India`s growth story has been widely acknowledged and appreciated but a dark side to its pattern is quite visible.
Its growth rate is also inequitable and non-inclusive. Inequitable growth rate is among the major concerns that the country must address.
States like Gujarat, Maharashtra and other southern states have, on an average, registered impressive growth, while states such as Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal have not fared that well.
