Q SIR..sir, i have enrolled my son for bba+mba course at iipm chennai, he has scored around 80% in 12th std from cbse.. he is not interested in engg or medical . i think there are confusing signals coming from the seniors that the course is not good , also it may be closed down etc. studies are good and the class is small hence full attention is paid. also the location of the college is also good. now he says that there is no recognition to this course and he wants to shift , please advise

A Dear Student... It is advisable to check the veracity of the Institute by going on the websites of AICTE/UGC for any recognized course. Doing any course from an accreditated institute gives credibility and also helps if a student is interested in going abroad for future education.

Q SIR..my daughter has passed her 10+2 exams from india with 86% marks aggregate, subjects were chemistry/physics/bio/maths/english. she wants to go for medical carrier which college you suggest with nominal fees abroad with good degree?

A Dear Student... Hi, If your daughter wants to study medicine, I would highly suggest staying in India because it is a lot easier to practice medicine in India after studying here. However, if she does want to settle abroad, it would make sense to apply to colleges in Australia, Singapore and the UK. It would also depend on whether she wants to go for her MBBS or her MD. In the UK Imperial College and Kings College have good programs. In Singapore, NUS has a good program. If you want to look at Australia you can consider University of Sydney and Monash. It is really difficult to get scholarships at these universities.

Q SIR..is integrated btech+mba more better than btech alone

A Dear Student... If your goal is to complete your education in a flow then a rigorous B tech+ MBA is advisable, this will certainly give you better prospects in Industry at entry level. However if you want to explore your potential and wish to find where you exactly belong then its advisable to have two years work experience after B.Tech and then complete your MBA. Work experience will certainly help you to assimilate the Management education at a different level and enhance your long term career prospects.

Q SIR..hello mam i want to do mba in financial market so pls suggestt me best possible options

A Dear Student... Hi Puneet, To pursue and MBA you will need 3 years of work experience to go abroad and a GMAT score. If you want to pursue an MBA in India, you will have to look at what city you would want to be in and apply accordingly. You would also need to take into consideration cost and duration of the course. For top colleges like ISB in India, you would still need to take the GMAT exam.

Q SIR..Presently my daughter is pusuing MA English from Delhi University. I wish to send her for further studies to a university in either europe or America. Kindly suggest best options and the ways to be adopted. regards, ravi gupta, father

A Dear Student... Thank you for your question. Your daughter can pursue a good degree in either Europe or the US. The degree will depend on what her plans are in the future. If she is looking at a further Master`s degree then she will have determine what course she wants to apply into. Some of the courses will require the GRE examinations. If she is looking to go next year, the application period is usually August- Jan. She would need to send in an online application form, transcripts from Bachelor`s and Master`s degree, recommendation letters from professors, and if required a GRE score. She will also require the TOEFL or IELTS examination. The application will include the statement of purpose which is an essay of approx. 700-800 words (varies based on college) on why she intends on studying the course and what she hopes to do in the future
