Bangalore: A student of National Institute of Technology-Tiruchi in Tamil Nadu drowned in Cauvery river at Dubare in Karnataka's Kodagu District on Sunday.
The victim, Ashwin, was part of a group of 45 students from the institution on a trip, police said.
Ashwin and some other students had gone for swimming after river rafting when the mishap occurred, police said.
