Morena: Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh on Sunday called upon party workers here to ensure the defeat of the ruling BJP in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections due this November.

"Party workers must forget factionalism and work for the party candidate, as only one person can get a ticket from any constituency," Singh told party workers at a function held here.

"Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh trains the BJP to go on lying and repeat these loudly, and in this respect Madhya Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was "an ideal student," he alleged.

Union Minister Kamalnath also claimed that the UPA government had provided maximum funds to the Madhya Pradesh government and now the time had come to ask the BJP that how and where these were utilised.

Congress General Secretary Mohan Prakash, who is in-charge of Madhya Pradesh, said that the chief minister had not given permission to prosecute ministers against whom Lokayukta cases are pending.
