Lucknow: The Centre has alerted the Uttar Pradesh government over a possible terror strike in the state.
Government sources said that the Ministry of Home Affairs has sent out the alert to authorities in Uttar Pradesh.
As per the alert, terrorists might strike at popular temple towns like Ayodhya and at other vital installations.
The state government has been asked to beef up security at such places.
