Five casualties, 16 injured in Pakistan during ceasefire violation: BSF DG DK Pathak

New Delhi: The Director General of Border Security Force DK Pathak on Sunday said that the Indian troops' volume and intensity of target fire is more effective than the Pakistani Army.

Speaking to the reporters during a press conference, Pathak said that as per Pakistan's media reports there have been 5 casualties and 16 injuries on their side.



He further added that BSF is strongly retaliating to the firing from the other side of the border.

Pakistan troops on Sunday continued to violate ceasefire by targeting BSF posts and villages in RS Pura and Arnia areas near the international border in Jammu district on Sunday.

On the other hand, while briefing about the coordination between BSF and Border Guard of Bangladesh, Pathak said that both the forces have come closer and the relation between them will grow stronger.

He also said that all issues concerning India-Bangladesh border have been successfully and effectively addressed.
