Sydney: The desire for virtual fame apparently took an ugly and shameful turn when netizens were seen reportedly seen sharing 'selfies with homeless people' on photo-sharing service Instagram.

Tumblr, after cringeworthy ' Selfies at Funerals', has launched a new blog titled ' Selfies with Homeless People,' featuring photos that have been previously posted on Instagram and show users posing with homeless people who are often passed out.

According to news.com.au, the blog is maintained by a senior editor at Fast Company, Jason Feifer, who is also credited with ' Selfies At Serious Places'.

Some of the pictures posted on the blog include two users posing with a homeless man who has passed out on a bench, while another shows a woman posing with two men lying on the floor with hashtags like #passedout, #homelessdude and #bestpicever.

Another picture shows a woman clicking a 'quick selfie' with a 'homeless guy sleeping in the lobby', and similar pictures show people posing in trains, streets and parks.
