New Delhi: In order to fulfill its long-standing desire to get closer to the music industry, Twitter is considering to buy German-based music-sharing service SoundCloud.
SoundCloud is basically the YouTube for audio content. At present, the service has over 250 million active users.
The move would be a new effort by Twitter to get back into music after a failed attempt last year to launch a music-finding service.
A deal with Twitter might provide an easy way for SoundCloud to start selling ads against its content.
