Aizawl: Congress legislature party will meet here on Wednesday to formally elect Lal Thanhawla as its leader.
Lal Thanhawla, all set for a fifth term as Chief Minister, won from both Serchhip and Hrangturzo seats, he contested. He was elected to the Assembly for a record ninth time since 1978.
Congress won a two-third majority in the in the Mizoram Assembly polls, winning 33 of 39 seats.
