Berhampur: Over 60 ATMs of different banks, which were damaged in cyclone Phailin in Ganjam district of Odisha, are yet to be repaired, official sources said on Tuesday.

While 24 ATMs are lying defunct due to software and hardware problems, 22 are idle due to V-SAT problems, the sources said.

As many as 16 ATMs are out of order due to snapping of power supply. The district has 223 ATMs of different nationalised, private and cooperative banks.

The district administration reviewed the status of ATMs yesterday.

Lead district manager (LDM), Ganjam, B Khuntia said the district administration has already taken up the matter with Southco and BSNL.

"We hope almost all the ATMs will start functioning very soon," Khuntia said.
