Police constable arrested for taking Rs 50,000 bribe

Jaipur: Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths caught a police constable red-handed while he was allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 50,000, an official said on Friday.

According to the ACB official, constable Ratiram, posted at the Jaipur Development Authority's police station, was arrested yesterday.

The official said one Ranglal Gujjar had approached the ACB a few days ago claiming that the constable had demanded bribe of Rs 50,000 to help him get his land related papers in a legal case.

The accused was working as a reader at JDA police station. The accused was booked under the anti-corruption act, they said.
