Pondicherry: The 62nd 'mahasamadhi' (memorial
day) of saint-philosopher Aurobindo was observed at the famous
Ashram named after him on Moday.
Devotees sat in collective meditation before his memorial
on the ashram premises and also visited the room where he
carried out his spiritual experiments and offered homage.
It was on this day in 1950 that Aurobindo, who propounded
the concept of Integral Yoga, died at the age of 78.
