Puducherry: Puducherry Lt Governor Dr Iqbal
Singh and Chief Minister V Vaithilingam Monday greeted people
of the union territory on the eve of Telugu and Kannada new
year Ugadi.
In his message the Lt Governor, said Ugadi was a festival
of many shades. "It ushers in a new year and fills the hearts
of people with new hopes and dreams".
He hoped Ugadi would bring in cheers,peace and prosperity
through good health and success in lives of the people.
In his message Vaithilingam said Puducherry represented
India in miniature in view of its multi lingual and multi
culture features.
He said his government was committed to ensure balanced
development of all the regions of Puducherry.
