Lucknow: Light to moderate rainfall lashed parts of Uttar Pradesh on Monday even as there was not much change in the temperature.
The areas received rainfall include Robertganj and Churk, in Sonbhadra district, Handia in Allahabad district, Baheri in Bareilly district and Phoolpur in Azamgarh district.
Day temperatures rose in Meerut, Faizabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Bareilly, Moradabad and Agra divisions and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state.
They were above normal in Varanasi, Faizabad, Lucknow, Bareilly and Meerut divisions, below normal in Kanpur, Agra divisions and were normal in the remaining divisions of the state.
Orai was hottest in the state with temperature touching 44.2 degrees Celsius.
