Sambhal: In a suspected case of dishonour killing, a girl was allegedly shot dead by her father in Baniyather area, police said on Monday.
The 22-year-old girl was shot dead by her father Ram Chandra, with a country-made fire-arm in Narauli town on Sunday evening, Station Officer Kunj Bihari Mishra said.
Prima facie it seemed to be a case of dishonour killing as the girl had married against her father's wish, he said adding, the accused has been arrested.
