Beijing: One person was killed and 19 others injured today after a public bus caught fire during morning rush hour in China's eastern Shandong Province.
The fire on the bus broke out at around 8:30 am (local time) and was extinguished half an hour later in Longkou City, according to the Longkou municipal government.
The injured have been rushed to hospitals, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Investigation focused on whether it was sabotage as a number of recent incidents of fire in the buses were caused by disgruntled people.
