Zee Media Bureau San Diego: A Californian woman, who was issued a ticket for driving while wearing Google glasses, has been let off by a San Diego traffic court after she was found “not guilty.”

Cecilia Abadie was given a clean chit as there was no proof that the device was functioning, Traffic Commissioner John Blair ruled, as per a news agency report.

The 44-year-old software developer is believed to be the first motorist who was cited for wearing Google Glass.

She is among thousands of “explorers” chosen to test the device before it is made public.

The lightweight frames are equipped with a hidden camera and tiny display that responds to voice commands and the technology can be used to do things such as check email, learn background about something the wearer is looking at, or to get driving directions, as per news report.

Abadie was handed a citation in October last year by California Highway Patrol officer.
