Ferguson: Governor Jay Nixon ordered deployment of National Guard troops in Missouri on Monday after instances of fresh violence and escalating protests against the murder of back teen Michael Brown.
The tensions in he area has escalated after an independent preliminary autopsy report of Brown, done at the behest of his family, has reportedly revealed that he was shot at least six times.
The six bullets were fired from the front out of which two hit Brown's head while the other four struck him in the right arm, the New York Times reported.
The report further stated that one of the bullets entered the top of Brown's skull indicating that his head was bent forward when it struck him and proved to be fatal.
The private autopsy was done by the famous US pathologist Michael Baden who had earlier investigated the deaths of OJ Simpson and Phil Spector among others.
Meanwhile, Missouri National Guard will be deployed in Ferguson in the wake of escalating protests against the shooting of Brown.
The 18-year-old was killed by a white police officer Darren Wilson on August 9 triggering racial protests.
While police has claimed that there was a scuffle between the officer and victim,witnesses claim that Brown was unarmed and had his hand in the air at the time of being shot.
Meanwhile, curfew was imposed for the second night in St Louis suburb which has been tense after Brown was shot dead by police.
Warning shots and tear gas were reportedly fired by the police to disperse hundreds of demonstrators protesting against the killing of Brown and marching towards a police command post.
A CCTV footage of the teen stealing shortly before his death was released by the police.
Missouri Governor Jay Nixon criticised the police and said that the footage attempted to “cast aspersions on the man”, the BBC reported.
He added that Brown was not stopped by the police on charges of robbery when he was killed.
A federal post mortem of the body has also been ordered by the US Attorney General Eric Holder.
At least seven people were arrested by the police on Saturday after fresh violence in the area.
