Vellore: A teenage girl was allegedly raped by her maternal uncle in Malekavanur area in the district, police said on Sunday.
The 14-year-old victim, a class IX student, was kidnapped by the accused Pandian, an auto-driver, from near her school and taken to a secluded place where he raped her on August 20, police said.
Later, Pandian was arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by the girl's parents.
He was produced before a court yesterday which remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days, they added.
