India lose badminton semi-final to England 3-0

Glasgow: India lost to England 3-0 in the semi-finals of the badminton competition at the Commonwealth Games here late Sunday night.

India`s men`s and mixed doubles teams fought well over three games, but could not in cross the line and Parupalli Kashyap lost his singles match against Rajiv Ouseph in straight games, 21-16, 21-19.

Chris Adcock was the star of England`s doubles victories. He first won the mixed doubles with wife Gabriel against Jwala Gutta and Dewalkar 21-16, 15-18, 21-11 and then the men`s doubles with Andrew Ellis, beating Dewalkar and Pranav Chopra, 12-21, 21-13, 21-16.
