Mahendra Singh Dhoni will become the first Indian captain to lead the team in successive Tests at Trent Bridge when he walks out to toss in the first Test against England on Wednesday.

India is the last team to have beaten England in a Test match at Trent Bridge, when Dravid`s team secured a seven-wicket win in July 2007.

India, playing under Sourav Ganguly, also figured in the last drawn Test at Trent Bridge in August 2002.

For the first time since 1959, India will be playing a five-match Test series in England.

Former Test legends Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Saurav Ganguly have scored hundreds in the same Test innings on only one occasion in August 2002 at Headingly.

The last time India toured England in 2011 they surrendered the No. 1 Test rankings to the English side led by former England skipper Andrew Strauss.

When India last visited England in 2011 they were whitewashed 4-0.
