Lie-detectors to fight against corruption in cricket?

In its bid to root out corruption from cricket, MCC-the framer and copyright holder of the Laws of Cricket, has suggested the idea of subjecting cricketers to lie detector tests. Steve Waugh, former Australian great and a member of MCC took the polygraph test to set the ball rolling and thus playing his part in the battle against corruption.

However, The Federation of International Cricketers` Associations (FICA) has outrightly rejected the proposal arguing that it does not support any such method which is far from foolproof and it is irresponsible to subject players to this imperfect testing.

We at Zeecric.com would like to ask your opinion on whether lie detector technology should be employed for curbing the menace of corruption and malpractices like spot-fixing in cricket.
