My son has worked hard, he should now become PM: Modi’s mother

Ahmedabad: Narendra Modi’s mother Hira Ba on Thursday expressed her wish that her son, who was all set to return to power in Gujarat for a third consecutive time, should now become the Prime Minister of the country.

“He has worked hard, he should now become PM, Hira Ba told Zee News. “He does what he says,” she added.

The work which he has done, no one else has been able to do, the mother said.

"He has won Gujarat. My chest swells with great pride. He has to do lot more. Narendra will not stop here," she added.

Younger brother Pankaj said the family was happy and celebrating Modi’s victory.

“We have been celebrating since morning, distributing sweets. Children have been bursting crackers,” Pankaj told Zee News.
