PGIMER doctor commits suicide

A resident doctor of Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Monday allegedly committed suicide by jumping from his hostel building here, police said.

The government Tuesday approved revised pay scales for faculty of autonomous medical institutions like the AIIMS and PGIMER, Chandigarh, bringing them at par with their counterparts in IITs and IIMs.
