CBI registers case against AICTE officials, institutes

AICTE officials had ignored deficiencies in Madhira Educational Society of Group of Institutions and issued letter of approval for continuing with its courses, the CBI alleged in an FIR lodged in a cheating case.

Facing graft charges, Chairman of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) R A Yadav was on Wednesday suspended by the government to ensure that the probe into the criminal offence lodged against him by the CBI is not influenced.
