The Uttar Pradesh Government on Tuesday decided to transfer all cases of custodial death to CB-CID for further investigation as it felt that investigation by local police into such incidents was "not justified".

Two persons, arrested on charges of firing at a police party at a liquor shop near here, today died in police custody prompting authorities to order a CB-CID probe.
