Govt`s clean chit to Thackeray, Raj in vandalism cases

The government on Thursday told the Bombay High Court there was no evidence against Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, MNS president Raj Thackeray and Congress leader Narayan Rane in four separate incidents.

The Bombay High Court today asked Maharashtra government as to whether it found any evidence of involvement of top leaders of Shiv Sena, MNS and Congress in incidents of political vandalism in the state in recent past.

An FIR was on Tuesday lodged against JMM candidate Hemant Soren, and his supporters alleging that they had abducted five Congress workers and attacked their party office at Ranibahal in Dumka district, police said.
