Amul milk prices likely to go up by Re 1-2 per litre soon

Asia's largest dairy Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) that markets dairy products under 'Amul' brand on Monday indicated that its milk prices could soon go up by Re 1 to 2 per litre soon.

Amul Chairman P G Bhatol on Thursday said that the prices of milk and related products will go up again. With speculation doing round about the margin of the contemplated hike, the dairy major has not yet revealed anything about the fresh prices.

After hiking prices in Gujarat, India`s largest food product marketing organisation, GCMMF, which sells its products under the brand `Amul` has decided to hike milk prices in Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata.
