Delhi assembly passes resolution on unauthorised colonies

Congress MLA and Parliamentary Secretary of Chief Minister Mukesh Sharma brought the resolution list under short duration discussion on the status of unauthorised colonies in Delhi.

Close on the heels of regularising 917 unauthorised colonies in the capital, the Centre on Friday said it would regularise more such existing colonies and was looking for options that includes knocking at the doors of the judiciary as well.

"Very soon, we will try to regularise colonies that have come up on green belt, forest area and ASI land. We will not let even one single house to be demolished in Delhi," she said.
