Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today congratulated the Indian football team on winning the Nehru Cup International Football Tournament and said the victory would inspire sportspersons in the country.

The West Asians hadn’t conceded throughout the tournament but it was a Renedy Singh free-kick which breached their defence.
