Gujarat Government has agreed to pay a compensation of Rs one lakh to next of the kin of an undertrial who was murdered at Sabarmati jail here a year ago.

A magisterial inquiry was on Thursday ordered into the death of an undertrial prisoner in the district jail here, the fourth such case in a month, police said.
