Sensex snaps four-day rally, down 93 pts

Snapping the four-day rally, the BSE benchmark Sensex Monday fell by 93 points from two-year high levels on emergence of profit-booking in stocks including, L&T, HDFC Bank, ITC and HUL, amid weak global trends.

Sensex hits 2-year high; Nifty breaches the 6,000 mark

The 50-scrip NSE index Nifty, which breached the 6,000 mark during the session for the first time since January 2011, slipped back partially to close at 5,993.25 points, gaining 42.40 points, or 0.71 percent.
