Ghosh, Gill complete hat-trick of wins

National champion Amittrajit Ghosh (co-driver Ashwin Naik) and Gaurav Gill (Musa Sherif) recorded their third consecutive wins of the season by topping the INRC Overall and SUV categories, respectively, in the Rally of Coimbatore that concluded here Sunday.

Amittrajit Ghosh of Kolkata (co-driver Ashwin Naik) and Subir Roy (co-driver Niray Mehta) were declared provisional winners in the Xtreme and Enduro (TSD format) categories respectively in the fourth J&K Bank Mughal Rally which concluded here Saturday.

Gaurav Gill (co-driver Musa Sherif) notched his second consecutive outright victory when he topped the Mahindra Adventure Rally of Maharashtra while Amittrajit Ghosh (Ashwin Naik) won the INRC class title here Sunday, the results replicating those of the first round of the Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) run in Chennai earlier this year.

While Team Mahindra Adventure`s Gaurav Gill (co-driver Musa Sherif) expectedly topped the time charts in a full-blown, modified XUV 500 in the SUV class, Amittrajit Ghosh (Ashwin Naik), in a Group N-spec Mitsubishi Cedia, took the overall lead in the INRC at the end of Leg 1 in the Mahindra Adventure Rally of Maharashtra, here Saturday.
