AHMC takes 12 Indian athletes under its wing

Seeking to help India become a force to reckon with at the Olympics, Anglian Medal-Hunt Company (AMHC) announced on Wednesday, a list of 12 athletes, mostly boxers, who will be supported by the sports foundation in the next few years.

Basanta Bahadur Rana, the best of the ‘B’ qualifiers in the 50 km has received training from the former national record holder Gurdev Singh. He serves in the Indian army and qualified for the Olympics at the World Race Walking Cup in Russia in May.
